Privacy Policy

In short: Music Eye reads your sheet music on your phone. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not upload your scores to our servers to scan them.
This policy explains how the Music Eye app ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. The app is provided by Music Eye. You can contact us at support@musiceye.app.
What the app does with your scores
When you scan a page with the camera, choose a photo, or open a file, the app reads the music on your device. The image and the notes it finds are processed and stored on your phone. We do not receive them.
The library, folders, edited scores, and settings you create are stored on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, they are removed from your phone. We cannot recover them for you.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera: to scan a page of music. The app uses the camera only when you open the scanner.
- Photos and files: to let you pick an image or file to scan, and to save exports you create (MusicXML, WAV and PDF).
The app can access only the images and files you choose to scan or open.
Information we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or the contents of your scores. The app does not have user accounts.
Purchases
If you buy a yearly or lifetime plan, the payment is handled by Google Play (and, in future, the Apple App Store). We do not see or store your card or payment details. To check whether your purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase information from the store, and basic technical information such as your app version, device type, country and IP address. It never receives your scores, photos or files. The store's and RevenueCat's own privacy policies apply to their handling of that information.
Files you export
When you export MusicXML, WAV or PDF, the file is saved on your device or shared using the option you choose. Once you send a file to another app or person, that app's or person's policies apply.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your information. We do not show advertising in the app, and we do not share your scores or personal information with advertisers.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your choices
You can delete any score inside the app, or remove everything by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. You can turn off camera, photo or file permissions in your phone's settings, although scanning will not work without them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
